Rich Si Poor Si

When people hear my name, they sometimes ask “What were your parents thinking?!” In fairness to my parents, Mr Cowell was only 23 when I was born. So please don’t be too hard on them, they weren’t to know!

Do you remember when (the other) Simon Cowell started doing Barclaycard adverts on TV? I thought to myself, how can he need the money? He must be minted!

Maybe he is minted. But sometimes people just live beyond their means. Look how many celebrities and sports stars have gone from riches to ruin.

We need to talk about money

A lot of us don’t really like talking about money. Maybe it’s because we’re British. And it’s not the “done thing”.

Personally, I’m not into fancy cars and expensive watches. An £8 Casio does me fine. I can go windsurfing in it and lose it when I fall in. And I fall in….. A LOT.

I’m happy when I’m living within my means. But everyone is different.

What I am into is multiple streams of income and the freedom that gives me. Since reading the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, it really got me interested in the idea.

It was like a lightbulb went on in my head. And it hasn’t been switched off since.

If you haven’t read the book, I suggest you check it out. It can feel a bit American and cheesy to begin with. But I hope you persevere.

Other books such as How to Own the World by Andrew Craig, I have got a lot from too. They’ve helped me to save more than I spend and invest the difference. So I don’t need to do Barclaycard adverts. Ha!

Utility Who?

After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I went on to read The Naked Trader by Robbie Burns. Robbie is just a normal guy who quit the rat race. I make no commission from him. I just find his writing funny and he seems like a nice guy!

His book is a fantastic introduction into how to make money trading shares online. All written in layman’s terms. A subject that sounds really dry, but the book is an easy and enjoyable read!

One of the ways he managed to quit the rat race was by being a distributor for Utility Warehouse. He recommended his current Utility provider to family, friends and people he met. And he started to make an income when they became customers too.

There was no hard sell from Robbie. I just liked the guy and thought he was informative, and funny! So I got in touch with him and I became a distributor for UW. It’s quite easy to recommend a service when you are very happy with it yourself.

If you’ve never heard of UW, take a look here to see how you could benefit.

It Ain’t Easy Being Green

If you’re reading this and thinking it’s easy. Sorry to tell you. It isn’t. Otherwise everyone would be leaving the rat race, rather than working a job they don’t really enjoy.

However, if you’ve ever recommended a film or a book to anyone, then you can recommend UW. Which can earn you money. And help you save people money. Which I think is really cool. UW is one of the UK’s greenest energy suppliers too.

Do you always feel like you have enough money? What would you do with an extra £100 a month? How about £1000 a month? If you can spare a few hours each week, you can start earning straight away.

Contact me if you’re interested in finding out more. There won’t be a hard sell from me. In the end, it depends whether it’s right for you now and how much you want it. You can lead a horse to water and all of that…

And Simon if you are still reading, I suppose I can get you in on this too. That botox isn’t going to pay for itself.
